VEBA Resource Center’s Dr. V featured in the SDBJ’s Women’s Healthcare Roundtable
Mar 13, 2023 – The VEBA Resource Center’s acupuncturist and holistic health doctor, Ioanna Vouloumanou, LAc DAOM (better known as Dr. V) has been featured in the San Diego Business Journal’s Women’s Healthcare Roundtable. In this issue, Dr. V provides thoughtful insight into women’s integrated health strategies, especially around perimenopause/menopause and how employers can better support women’s changing health care needs through their benefit offerings.

VEBA is a Proud Sponsor of The Honor Foundation’s Swim for SOF 2022
Sep 15, 2022 – Actions speak louder than words. That’s why the VEBA Resource Center is proud to sponsor the Honor Foundation’s Swim for SOF 2022 and cheer on our own Jason Goyanko, who is taking on the swim across San Diego’s Coronado Bay again this year.
The Honor Foundation works with America’s Special Forces veterans helping them transition after their service. Their outstanding work has much in common with the work we do at the VEBA Resource Center – providing complete care to help members manage their well-being, focusing on a holistic and tailored approach that includes mental and physical health, nutrition and more.

July 6, 2022 – California Schools VEBA has been recognized by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as a Healthy People 2030 Champion.

VEBA Co-Medical Director, Dr. Angie Neison, featured in SDUT Article on Gut Health
Dec 30, 2021 – Co-Medical Director of California Schools VEBA, Dr. Angie Neison, wrote an opinion article on the importance of gut health for the San Diego Union Tribune. Dr. Neison is a medicine physician at Sharp Rees-Stealy. She is double board-certified in Family and Culinary Medicine.

VEBA’s 30-minute Documentary featured on NBC 7 San Diego
Dec 13, 2021 – Watch California Schools VEBA’s 30-minute documentary, “Breaking the Stigma”, that premiered on NBC 7 San Diego. The VEBA Resource Center and The Honor Foundation joined together to help share stories about the mental health challenges veterans faced when transitioning from military to civilian life.
